Research Fellow in Dynamic Energy Networks with Electric Vehicles

Responsibilities

• Develop new models for electrical energy distribution integrating renewable energy generation and electric vehicles
• Optimize network resources across the grid to match energy supply with user demands
• Conduct optimization and probabilistic analysis under practical engineering constraints
• Develop new tools for network optimization and performance analysis of distributed smart grids
• Collaborate with senior academic staff and provide supervision for postgraduate students

Requirements

• PhD in a field relevant to the research project
• A quality research record evidenced by publications in high-quality international journals and conferences
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with experience in applied probability and/or optimization
• Proficiency with software packages such as Matlab or Python
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical energy networks and/or electric vehicle charging
• Knowledge of stochastic networks
• Experience with PowerFactory
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and mentor graduate students

• Salary package of $112,550 (Level A.6) per annum
