Research Facilities Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily research facility operations to ensure laboratories are maintained in optimal condition
• Manage service requests, work orders, and vendor interactions
• Monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and airflow
• Maintain equipment inventory, service records, and documentation
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs for laboratory equipment
• Assist with the procurement, installation, and decommissioning of scientific equipment
• Ensure proper waste disposal in compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage access control systems, including key cards and user permissions
• Support laboratory renovations and infrastructure projects through logistics coordination
• Track budgets related to equipment contracts, supplies, and facility operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in research, laboratory operations, or facility support
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in laboratory environments, which may involve lifting up to 40 lbs and wearing PPE

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and scientific research workflows
• Familiarity with biosafety, chemical safety, and regulatory guidelines
