Research Engineer/Research Scientist, Personal AGI, Personality and Model Behavior

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on personalization, personality, and model behavior using synthetic data, reward modeling, and reinforcement learning
• Build robust evaluations and model training pipelines to facilitate research efforts
• Innovate and implement new post-training methods to guide model behavior
• Integrate research findings into ChatGPT and other OpenAI products used by millions of users

Requirements

• Deep understanding of machine learning and its practical applications
• Experience in training and optimizing models and building comprehensive evaluations
• Proficiency in reinforcement learning and reward modeling
• Ability to work within and debug large ML codebases
• Experience working in dynamic and technically complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong ML engineering skills combined with a passion for product-driven research
• Track record of delivering innovative solutions to address real-world constraints
