Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis tasks in vehicle modeling, guidance, navigation, and control
• Support design and implementation of Matlab/C/C++ based tools and displays
• Conduct research and analyses as directed by project leads
• Prepare portions of project documents and maintain project files
• Assist in providing on-the-job training for new and existing employees
• Maintain records compliant with aerospace industry standards and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science with 2-3 years of experience, or Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
• Strong skills with MATLAB/Simulink or Python
• Experience with stability and control system design and assessment
• Experience with vehicle flight modeling and simulation
• Required experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of C/C++
• UAS or UAM experience
• Experience assessing vehicle performance, flying, and handling qualities
