Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute specialized technical research and development activities including data analysis and model development
• Perform design and analysis tasks in vehicle modeling, guidance, navigation, and control
• Support the design and implementation of Matlab/C/C++ based tools and displays
• Prepare portions of project documents and maintain compliant project files
• Assist in providing on-the-job training for new and existing employees

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Strong skills with MATLAB/Simulink or Python
• Experience with stability and control system design and assessment or vehicle flight modeling
• Required experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of C/C++
• UAS / UAM experience
• Experience assessing vehicle performance, flying, and handling qualities
