Research Engineer - Robot Learning

Responsibilities

• Support robotic and data collection hardware setup and design mechatronic systems for customized demands
• Construct large-scale robotic simulation environments for reinforcement learning training
• Process human data for robotic use cases
• Collaborate with Research Scientists on high-quality publications for top-tier conferences
• Partner with engineering teams to deploy end-to-end algorithms for mass production vehicles and develop neural simulation/generation tools

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in robot learning areas such as foundation models, diffusion policy, reinforcement learning, or physics-aware simulation
• Passion for scalable autonomy and robotics in real-world systems
• Strong engineering and research skills
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, computer vision, robotics systems, and distributed machine learning training

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry experience on relevant topics, preferably self-driving applications
• MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer vision, autonomy, robotics, or related field
• Passion for building and shipping customer-focused software frameworks or tools
