About the role

Responsibilities

  • Innovate effective semiconductor technologies to ensure radiation hardness of advanced microelectronic integrated circuits
  • Discover and characterize the physics of radiation effects in advanced microelectronics
  • Create transistor and circuit models and designs to improve radiation performance
  • Publish research results in journal articles and present findings at professional conferences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
  • Proficiency in testing and debugging circuitry using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Experience with design and analysis tools including Matlab, LabVIEW, LTSpice, and ModelSim

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation effects, testing, or hardness assurance in microelectronics
  • Proven track record of research through publications, patents, or conference presentations
  • Leadership and program development experience
