About the role
Responsibilities
- Innovate effective semiconductor technologies to ensure radiation hardness of advanced microelectronic integrated circuits
- Discover and characterize the physics of radiation effects in advanced microelectronics
- Create transistor and circuit models and designs to improve radiation performance
- Publish research results in journal articles and present findings at professional conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
- Proficiency in testing and debugging circuitry using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Experience with design and analysis tools including Matlab, LabVIEW, LTSpice, and ModelSim
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation effects, testing, or hardness assurance in microelectronics
- Proven track record of research through publications, patents, or conference presentations
- Leadership and program development experience
