Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build AI systems that perform previously impossible tasks or achieve unprecedented performance
• Design, implement, and improve massive-scale distributed machine learning systems
• Write bug-free machine learning code
• Build the science behind the algorithms employed
• Work within large distributed systems to achieve deep learning results at scale

Requirements

• Strong programming skills
• Experience working in large distributed systems
• Excitement about OpenAI’s approach to research

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in and thoughtfulness regarding the impacts of AI technology
• Past experience creating high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms
