Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Scope and spearhead AI augmentation and automation projects including data extraction, summarization, and content generation
• Stay on top of emerging AI methods and guide decisions on model adoption (open-source vs. proprietary)
• Establish research strategies and rigorous experimentation protocols for accuracy and interpretability
• Develop novel algorithms for NLP, data extraction, and autonomous reasoning
• Automate complex workflows for insurance coverage and affordability programs
• Build robust ML pipelines to handle variation in clinical documentation
• Translate heterogeneous data into insights for biopharma partners to accelerate drug development

Requirements

• Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge
• Research background in ML/NLP with publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP) or significant open-source contributions
• Experience deploying complex ML solutions in production environments
• Deep understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, reinforcement learning, and multimodal models
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering goals in fast-paced environments
