Responsibilities

• Build Core AI Systems: Design, build, and scale primary AI features, including complex Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic workflows
• Customize Models for Impact: Selectively fine tune and adapt language models to improve performance on specific legal tasks
• Ensure Production Quality: Develop practical evaluation methods and monitoring systems to ensure reliability, accuracy, and efficiency
• Apply AI Pragmatically: Stay on the frontier of AI research and identify effective techniques to solve product challenges
• Collaborate to Ship: Work closely with product, backend, and in-house legal experts to deliver end-to-end solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Focus on building and shipping AI/ML powered products
• Deep proficiency in Python
• Proven ability to build scalable, production-grade systems
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
• Familiarity with the entire ML project lifecycle
• Product-focused mindset with strong technical trade-off skills
