Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Experiment, evaluate, iterate, and ship successful research approaches to production
• Build evaluation infrastructure, including live and offline pipelines, benchmarks, and synthetic data generation
• Explore research directions in AI agents, ML, and SRE research, including reasoning, retrieval, and agent architectures
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to integrate capabilities into scalable services

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in applied ML or research engineering
• Production experience with agentic/LLM systems, multi-step reasoning, reinforcement learning, or fine-tuning
• Proven track record of bringing prototypes to production
• Strong ML fundamentals in statistical modeling, probabilistic methods, and time-series analysis
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Experience constructing end-to-end evaluation pipelines
• Ability to work in-person from our New York office

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to interpretability, robustness, or AI safety research
• Experience with multimodal models
• Contributions to ML research via open-source, papers, or workshops
• Experience deploying research models into production environments
