Research Director for the Center on Disability and Inclusion

Responsibilities

• Oversee the research direction and grant activities for the Center on Disability and Inclusion (CDI)
• Lead grant writing efforts and secure external funding
• Provide research mentorship and advisement to affiliated graduate and undergraduate students
• Collaborate with Center leadership and other university faculty
• Teach undergraduate or graduate courses in inclusive special education or research methodologies
• Interface with various university resources and units to support CDI initiatives

Requirements

• Doctorate in special education, inclusive education, or a closely related field
• An active and successful research agenda in inclusive special education and disability
• Proven experience serving as a Principal Investigator (PI) on external grants
• Demonstrated record of successful university-level teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in disability studies, inclusive education policy, or technology innovation focused on disability
• Experience seeking federal and foundation research or large technical assistance grants
• Administrative and project management experience leading teams of faculty, staff, and students
• Proficiency in quantitative methods, CritQuant, big data, or GIS mapping
• Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to asset-based, equitable education
