Research & Development Intern - Packaging

Responsibilities

• Develop new packaging designs and materials to support sustainable packaging projects
• Investigate low barrier packaging materials and conduct technical analysis
• Assist in delivering renovation, innovation, and cost-saving projects
• Create and analyze packaging samples in the lab and support prototype creation
• Manage small packaging projects and collaborate on digital packaging simulations
• Benchmark packaging solutions to ensure compliance with current legislation
• Support supply chain and portfolio maintenance projects within the Hive Foods Innovation Centre

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program (3rd or 4th year)
• Background in Material Science, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or Packaging Technology
• Basic knowledge of packaging technologies, design elements, and materials
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
• Available for 5 to 6 months starting August-September 2026 (minimum 32 hours/week)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as a self-initiator
