About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop new inkjet ink formulations using empirical design and modeling methods
- Design and formulate inks to enhance optical density, durability, and drop formation
- Characterize print attributes and system robustness
- Collaborate with printer component designers to balance system-level tradeoffs
- Participate in cross-functional, global teams and external supplier co-development
- Manage formulation design including performance, manufacturing, and chemical regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
- Deep understanding of fundamental chemical mechanisms
- Expertise in pigment and dye chemistry, polymers in solution, and nanoparticle suspensions
- Strong knowledge of interfacial and surface chemistry
- Proficiency with analytical instruments and data interpretation
- Experience in wet chemistry or ink formulation
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming skills
- Familiarity with printing technology and color science
- Prior professional formulation experience
