About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex research studies focused on emerging infectious and vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Lead data analysis using R or SAS to support public health research
  • Contribute to scientific publications, manuscripts, and grant proposals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and international research partners
  • Conduct literature searches and manage progress with multiple stakeholders
  • Deliver coherent presentations to communicate research findings

Requirements

  • MPH degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of experience in global health research, surveillance, or public health roles related to communicable diseases
  • 2 years of experience with quantitative survey design for epidemiologic research
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis using R or SAS
  • Proven experience in manuscript writing for scientific publication
  • Strong knowledge of epidemiological analysis methods, including regression and survival analysis
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and interact diplomatically with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Public Health
  • Experience writing research protocols, IRB submissions, or grant applications
  • Experience working with laboratory data, specifically serologic assay data
  • Extensive knowledge of emerging infectious diseases (e.g., mpox, Ebola) and vaccine-preventable diseases (e.g., polio, measles)
