About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical studies in the Pediatric Emergency Department by organizing study start-up, including IRB protocol submissions and personnel training.
  • Manage patient participation through recruitment, screening, enrollment, and obtaining informed consent.
  • Maintain essential study documentation, regulatory binders, and project records.
  • Collect and manage study data from subject charts, interviews, and other sources to meet strict entry deadlines.
  • Complete and review Case Report Forms (CRFs) to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Principal Investigators, treating physicians, and clinical staff to ensure protocol adherence.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks to maintain high research standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web browser programs.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience in clinical research or a health science discipline (e.g., nursing, public health, biochemistry).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Experience with IRB processes and regulatory management.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records or research data tools such as Epic, REDCap, Qualtrics, or OpenSpecimen.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
