About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support institution-wide research compliance programs and non-financial post-award support
  • Provide regulatory guidance to help investigators and research teams meet federal, state, local, and sponsor requirements
  • Facilitate committee and administrative reviews
  • Serve as a primary liaison among faculty, staff, students, compliance committees, and campus partners
  • Contribute to training initiatives and facilitate subawards
  • Manage compliance records and systems securely

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR five years of relevant professional experience
  • 2 or more years of relevant professional experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to federal research contract requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex requirements to varied audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business software
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Working knowledge of research compliance principles (e.g., Uniform Guidance, IRB, conflict of interest, export controls)
  • Experience with electronic protocol submission/review systems such as Cayuse
  • Experience developing and delivering training via workshops, webinars, or guidance documents
  • Experience supporting research-active faculty and compliance committees
  • Experience in higher education and working collaboratively across multiple units
