About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication, marketing, and digital media plans to support strategic objectives.
- Write, edit, and produce diverse content including news stories, feature articles, speeches, and marketing materials.
- Translate complex scientific research into compelling stories for various audiences and platforms.
- Manage and grow social media presence through strategic engagement and analytics.
- Produce promotional materials such as brochures, newsletters, and websites.
- Support research funding activities by coordinating application processes and drafting proposal content.
- Conceptualize and execute events, workshops, and youth science outreach programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in scientific research communications, public relations, or media.
- Proven experience in digital media management and social media strategy.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere/Rush) and Canva.
- Strong scientific writing, research, and proofreading skills with a professional portfolio.
- Experience in event planning, outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a scientific field.
