Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Design logic models, research protocols, and research ethics applications
• Lead comprehensive evaluations of primary care practices
• Design surveys and interview questionnaires, manage data collection, and conduct analysis
• Conduct literature reviews, scoping/systematic reviews, and knowledge synthesis
• Supervise and delegate tasks to research and administrative staff
• Manage project activities, timelines, and grant application submissions
• Oversee knowledge translation, communications, and scientific manuscript co-authorship

Requirements

• PhD in health services research, public health, health policy, epidemiology, or a related discipline
• 2-4 years of post-PhD experience in health services and policy research
• Experience in mixed-methods research, including qualitative and quantitative study design
• Proficiency with software such as NVivo, R, SPSS, Stata, REDcap, or Qualtrics
• Experience with systematic and scoping reviews
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
• Strong communication skills for manuscript preparation and stakeholder engagement

The Integrated Primary Care Systems Lab at the University of Toronto is dedicated to strengthening primary care systems. Led by Dr. Monica Aggarwal, the Lab generates policy-relevant evidence to advance the quintuple aim and inform real-world health system reform in Canada and internationally.
