About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design logic models, research protocols, and research ethics applications
  • Lead a comprehensive evaluation of primary care practices
  • Design surveys and interview questionnaires, manage data collection, and conduct analysis
  • Conduct literature reviews, scoping/systematic reviews, and knowledge synthesis
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to research staff and provide necessary training
  • Manage project activities, timelines, and progress monitoring
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and manage reporting requirements
  • Oversee knowledge translation, communications, and co-author scientific manuscripts

Requirements

  • PhD in health services research, public health, health policy, epidemiology, or a related discipline
  • 2-4 years of post-PhD experience in health services and policy research
  • Experience conducting mixed-methods health services research (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Proficiency with software such as NVivo, R, SPSS, Stata, REDcap, Qualtrics, or Covidence
  • Experience preparing research ethics board applications and managing multi-site data collection
  • Strong communication skills and a solid publication record in primary care or health systems
  • Knowledge of the Canadian primary care policy landscape
