Responsibilities
- Conduct research in plasma-astrophysics of black hole coronae using relativistic kinetic simulations
- Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
- Participate in the intellectual life of CITA, including group meetings, seminars, and collaborations
- Engage with the broader community of postdocs and faculty at CITA
Requirements
- PhD in physics
- At least 4 years of postdoctoral experience in a related area of research
- Proven research experience in relativistic plasma astrophysics, black hole coronae, and radiation
- Demonstrated expertise in computational particle-in-cell (PIC) methods and code development
- A track record of high-impact publications, specifically regarding kinetic models of turbulence in black hole coronae
- Strong technical proficiency with High-Performance Computing (HPC) and relativistic radiative PIC plasma simulation code
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills
