Research Associate Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support and engage in ongoing research activities at the LSU AgCenter
• Focus on research involving biomass, nanomaterials, composites, and bio-based coating technology
• Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment

Requirements

• B.S. in Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, or a closely related discipline
• Experience working with cellulose nanomaterials, rheology, and coatings
• Strong quantitative skills and experience in technical writing
• Proven ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary research setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in the field of natural polymers and cellulose nanomaterials
• Experience with the applications of cellulose nanomaterials in composites and coatings
