About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop novel theoretical and practical AI/ML algorithms focused on human behavior modeling and video classification using deep learning.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system programs for maximum efficiency.
- Perform complex research tasks including data collection, recording, storage, and analysis according to defined protocols.
- Communicate research progress through regular meetings and written reports to the research director.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary professional partners to optimize research protocols and methods.
- Maintain scientific integrity through accurate data management and adherence to research policies.
Requirements
- Master of Science (MS) in computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Strong programming skills.
- Deep background in machine learning, computer vision, or human behavior modeling.
- Expertise in one or more areas: supervised/unsupervised/self-supervised learning, large vision models, multimodal foundation models, or transfer learning.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Publications in top-tier machine learning or computer vision conferences and journals.
- Research experience involving clinical applications, such as depression or pain studies.
- Experience or enthusiasm for mentoring students.
- Experience with grant proposal preparation and coordination.
- Experience analyzing questionnaires and surveys.
