About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design histology experiments and perform histological stains, IHC/IF, and ISH on tissue from multiple species
  • Utilize both manual and automated platforms for tissue processing
  • Conduct slide imaging using light, fluorescence, and confocal microscopy
  • Perform digital image quantification and analysis
  • Develop and implement new assays and technologies to meet project needs
  • Maintain accurate experimental records using electronic lab notebooks
  • Present research results to key stakeholders and project teams
  • Maintain an organized and efficient laboratory environment

Requirements

  • Knowledge of neurobiology and neuroanatomy
  • Experience with routine histology
  • Experience performing immunohistochemistry via manual and/or automated methods
  • Familiarity with multiple imaging modalities, including episcope, slide scanners, and confocal microscopy
  • Proficiency in histological image analysis and statistical analysis
  • Experience with digital image quantification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Programming skills
