About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support non-clinical research projects focused on improving healthcare accessibility through wearable noise-management systems and real-time captioning tools
  • Design, coordinate, and conduct studies including usability evaluations, interviews, surveys, focus groups, and workflow observations
  • Manage participant recruitment and scheduling for healthcare professionals and other human participants
  • Perform data collection and qualitative or mixed-methods analysis
  • Synthesize findings to prepare research reports, manuscripts, and support future grant proposals
  • Maintain organized documentation and strictly follow human-subjects research protocols

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health, medicine, biomedicine, public health, computer science, human-computer interaction, engineering, information science, or a related field
  • At least one year of experience conducting research or evaluation studies with human participants (e.g., healthcare professionals, patients, or disabled people)
  • Experience with semi-structured interviews, usability studies, survey design, or qualitative coding
  • Strong professional communication skills for interacting with interdisciplinary collaborators and diverse participants
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple study tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating digital health, accessibility, AI, AR/VR, mobile, or wearable tools
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows or simulated healthcare environments
  • Experience with accessibility research, disability studies, or supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing communities
  • Proficiency with qualitative analysis tools, survey platforms, or transcription workflows
  • Technical experience including prototyping, website development, or evaluating technical systems
