Research Associate I

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the research program for three Principal Investigators
• Handle protocol development, planning, implementation, and coordination
• Manage REB and Grant application submissions
• Recruit study participants
• Perform statistical analysis and manuscript writing/editing
• Participate in research studies as a primary or co-author
• Coach and supervise junior trainees including students, residents, and fellows
• Organize weekly research meetings and collaborate with other scientists

Requirements

• PhD or PhD candidate
• Previous research experience in education, simulation, and clinical outcome studies
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior team members
• Experience leading and completing REB submissions
• Competency in grant writing and applications
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as SSRP or CANSTAT
• Experience with CV management platforms like Common CV, CIHR, or NIH
• Financial budget management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at clinical hospital sites (UHN, Mt Sinai, Sick Kids, Sunnybrook)
• Exposure to Capcr or EPIC
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
