About the role
Responsibilities
- Screen and recruit adolescents and their caregivers for the study
- Deliver intervention group sessions to adolescent participants
- Conduct interviews with students and caregivers in person or via phone/Zoom
- Perform literature searches and enter study data
- Manage study materials and other administrative tasks as needed
- Assist with the development of manuscripts, presentations, and posters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents
- Ability to travel between Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and other NYC boroughs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to present information to groups of adolescents
- Flexibility to work during high school hours (typically 8 AM – 3 PM) and occasional nights or weekends for follow-ups
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related field
- Prior research experience
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
- Ability to make a 2-year commitment to the project
About the Company
The Columbia University School of Nursing is conducting a study to test the impact of sleep interventions with adolescents in NYC high schools. This research is supported by the Division of Scholarship & Research.
