About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit study participants, coordinate interviews, and collect data for the CAMINANDO and retinoblastoma studies
- Supervise student research assistants involved in supporting interviews
- Assist in data entry and work closely with the data manager
- Maintain regular communication with community-based organizations and key study investigators
- Assist in the preparation of materials for publication, conference presentations, and community meetings
- Participate in communications with the IRB
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in epidemiologic studies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access (relational databases)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with data entry
- Ability to work flexible hours (including some evenings and Saturdays) and travel to New Jersey and Long Island
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, or Anthropology
- One year of research experience, including data entry in NDSR and administering 24-hour recalls
- Experience with qualitative interviewing and epidemiologic study assessments
- Experience interacting with adolescents
