About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, prototyping, and extending smart glasses with a recommender module for mixed-reality educational technology.
  • Analyze data from classroom studies to evaluate the effects of real-time versus historic analytics on teacher assistance and student learning.
  • Utilize various data sources, including log data from tutoring systems, to address key research questions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support the project's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), behavioral sciences, statistics, or a related field.
  • Coursework in user research, user-centered design, or statistics for behavioral research.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in interaction design or the implementation of mixed-reality (MR) or virtual reality (VR) applications.
  • Proficiency in Unity programming.
  • Strong experience in statistical analysis.
  • Interest or professional experience in educational technology research.
  • Affinity for supporting K-12 student learning environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team.
