Research Associate 5

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on modeling, communications, networking, and machine learning techniques for distributed maritime operations involving surface and underwater vehicles.
• Design algorithmic and software tools for decision making, communications, networking, and intelligent autonomous operations.
• Manage and supervise graduate students and coordinate research activities within project task groups.
• Support the development of research proposals and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly technical reports.
• Manage project roles, research tasks, and technical deliverables to ensure data integrity and control.
• Assist in developing contacts with grant/contract agencies and identifying new funding sources.

Requirements

• Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, or robotics.
• 2 years of related experience as a research assistant in a relevant field.
• Ability to manage engineering simulations, experiments, and data collection.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, or robotics.
• 4 years of related research experience.
