About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute defined procedures independently to support upstream processes and investigation activities in a multi-product lab.
  • Perform microbial cell culture operations including cell thawing, cell banking, and seed train expansion.
  • Manage fermentation processes, including fermenter inoculation, daily monitoring, sampling, and in-process analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and reproducible data entries in accordance with GLP and GxP regulations.
  • Update and refine SOP, BPD, and technical documentation.
  • Support the maintenance, calibration, and evaluation of laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support commercial and clinical product portfolios.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in aseptic operations and proficiency working in biosafety cabinets.
  • Hands-on experience with microbial cell culture, specifically E. coli.
  • Practical experience with fermentation processes and bioprocess analytical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GLP compliance and GxP regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common laboratory problems and interpret basic data trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mammalian cell expansion.
  • Knowledge of inclusion body processing.
  • Understanding of fed-batch and perfusion bioprocesses.
  • Experience with depth filtration, ultrafiltration, or downstream purification processes.
