Research Assistant/Technician 2

Responsibilities

• Conduct title, abstract, and full-text screening of studies based on established inclusion and exclusion criteria
• Perform data extraction and charting using standardized forms and protocols
• Maintain accurate research records within Covidence and other project management systems
• Participate in reviewer calibration exercises to ensure consistency in screening and extraction
• Assist with identifying reasons for study exclusion and conducting quality assurance checks
• Organize extracted data for evidence mapping and contribute to the preparation of summary tables and evidence matrices
• Assist with reference management and the organization of project files

Requirements

• High school graduation
• Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with literature screening and data extraction
• Strong record-keeping skills
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in any discipline and enrollment in a postgraduate program
• Experience or interest in systematic reviews, scoping reviews, or evidence synthesis
• Knowledge of JBI methodology or PRISMA-ScR guidelines
• Proficiency with or willingness to learn research software such as Covidence, EndNote, or Zotero
• Experience extracting data from qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods studies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
