About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the MS & NMO Clinical Trials Group by assisting with the planning, organization, and execution of clinical research studies
- Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, and communication with research subjects
- Perform clinical testing including Multiple Sclerosis Functional Composite testing and Optical Coherence Tomography
- Process biological samples (blood, urine, and CSF) and package samples for international shipping
- Maintain accurate research records, regulatory files, and electronic data entry systems
- Monitor and maintain inventory of technical and laboratory supplies
- Liaise with research teams, local specialized labs, and clinics to ensure timely data and test result collection
- Prepare study source documents, requisitions, and lab kits
Requirements
- High school graduation with additional training in a related field
- Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a medical clinic or clinical trials environment
- Knowledge of biochemistry and Multiple Sclerosis
- Experience with clinical drug trials
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
- Proficiency with UBC Finance systems
