Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and enter data into appropriate study databases
• Maintain accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality of study data and patient records
• Coordinate and submit documentation for institutional approvals, ethics submissions, and renewals
• Prepare and maintain study binders, source documents, and case report forms
• Assist in the storage, handling, and transfer of paper and electronic files
• Facilitate requests for neurovascular imaging studies and perform deidentification for core lab transfer
• Perform basic proofreading, editing, and document formatting
• Schedule and attend study team meetings to provide research updates
• Communicate regularly with the Principal Investigator and interdisciplinary research teams

Requirements

• High school diploma; an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
• Minimum 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with patients with neurological conditions, caregivers, or health providers
• Experience working in a clinical or research environment
• Familiarity with interpreting scientific literature
• Experience using REDCap
