About the role
Responsibilities
- Support research and administrative activities within the Sekhon Laboratory
- Assist with knowledge translation duties, including website and social media management
- Maintain research-related records and databases, ensuring data is entered according to established protocols
- Attend weekly lab meetings to discuss work progress and collaborate with the team
- Assist graduate students with their research projects as needed
- Perform administrative and clerical duties to support the Division of Critical Care
Requirements
- High school graduation
- Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with database maintenance and administrative support
- Knowledge of knowledge translation support
- Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and work experience in a research and hospital environment
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Research experience in immunomodulation for cardiac arrest patients
- Experience in the collection and isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from human study participants in a critical care setting
- Experience with serum and plasma collection and subsequent ELISA-based analyses
- Coursework or experience with quantitative research methods
