About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and maintain research databases for clinical trials
  • Administer and document patient test results and track research trial status
  • Assist with neurosurgery research endeavors and the drafting of research grants
  • Coordinate research patient clinic visits, including tracking times and sending reminders
  • Administer and process research funding, maintain accounts, and prepare accounting journals
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding study participants and research data

Requirements

  • High school graduation with additional training in a related field
  • Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Experience with database design, creation, and maintenance
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience specifically within neurosurgery research
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Access, FileMakerPro, PACS, or Unix
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
