About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain research databases for clinical trials
- Administer and document patient test results and track research trial status
- Assist with neurosurgery research endeavors and the drafting of research grants
- Coordinate research patient clinic visits, including tracking times and sending reminders
- Administer and process research funding, maintain accounts, and prepare accounting journals
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding study participants and research data
Requirements
- High school graduation with additional training in a related field
- Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer literacy
- Experience with database design, creation, and maintenance
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience specifically within neurosurgery research
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Access, FileMakerPro, PACS, or Unix
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
