About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric interviews (MINI, PANSS-6, BNSS) and administer cognitive tasks (WASI-II, HVLT, BDI) to research participants.
- Administer cognitive tasks using fMRI at the UBC MRI Research Facility.
- Recruit, screen, and schedule research participants, including those with and without mental illnesses.
- Manage data collection and entry using Excel, SPSS, and online databases like REDCap.
- Liaise with mental health groups and community organizations to facilitate recruitment.
- Deliver recruitment presentations to mental health teams and practitioners.
- Perform lab administrative duties, including maintaining petty cash, managing reimbursements, and preparing training manuals.
- Maintain lab management and organization.
Requirements
- High school graduation with additional training in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in SPSS, Excel, and other internet applications.
- Knowledge of research methodology and scientific terminology.
- Ability to travel within the Metro Vancouver Region for recruitment and data collection.

- Experience with data analysis, organization, and coding.
