About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead the processing and characterization of isotopically enriched samples of quantum materials
  • Plan and execute experiments using muon spin rotation (muSR) and beta-detected NMR (beta-NMR)
  • Perform detailed analysis of experimental data
  • Take a lead role in the preparation of scientific articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborate with an international team of scientists at major laboratories in England, Switzerland, and Canada

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4 years of related professional experience
  • Experience with processing and characterizing samples using enriched stable isotopes
  • Extensive experience with muon spin rotation and beta-detected NMR
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for scientific reporting and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry or Condensed Matter Physics
  • Proven ability to work with high levels of autonomy in a research environment
