About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support lab research activities within the Amaro Research Lab under the direction of the Principal Investigator
  • Assist in participant recruitment, data collection, and data management
  • Conduct qualitative data analyses under supervision
  • Help prepare and publish scientific research papers, articles, and written reports for manuscripts or grant proposals
  • Support research projects focused on improving psychosocial outcomes for youth and families impacted by pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, or a related life/medical science field
  • At least one year of experience in behavioral science research
