About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical research tasks related to neural precursor cell proliferation, survival, migration, differentiation, and maturation
  • Conduct mouse brain dissections (embryonic and postnatal) and perform tissue fixation, embedding, and cryosectioning
  • Execute molecular techniques including immunoblotting of brain homogenates and PCR analysis of genotypes
  • Utilize microscopy (brightfield and ultraviolet) and perform computer-based quantitative analysis such as NeuroStereology
  • Manage laboratory data through acquisition and entry into Excel and GraphPad software
  • Maintain detailed records of all procedures and experiments
  • Assist with laboratory maintenance, including submitting purchase recommendations for supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Proven ability to follow detailed laboratory instructions and protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Practical experience in anatomy, physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, mathematics, or neuroscience
