About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in studies focused on the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer initiation, progression, and tumor microenvironment interactions.
- Design and execute experiments using human and mouse breast cancer organoid cultures, cell lines, and various mouse models (xenograft, intraductal injection, and genetically engineered models).
- Perform and oversee molecular and cellular biology techniques including cloning, flow cytometry, FISH, immunostaining, and confocal microscopy.
- Generate, analyze, and integrate high-throughput genomic datasets, including bulk and single-cell RNA-seq and ChIP-seq.
- Apply advanced bioinformatics approaches to identify molecular pathways and therapeutic targets using genomic information from public resources like GWAS and eQTL.
- Contribute to experimental design, data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and grant development.
- Collaborate closely with laboratory members, clinical partners, and computational collaborators.
Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology or a related science field.
- Extensive experience in molecular and cellular biology and cancer research.
- Proven experience working with animal models.
- Experience with genomic technologies and bioinformatic analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in organoid culture systems.
- Proficiency in next-generation sequencing approaches (e.g., single-cell RNA-seq and ChIP-seq).
- Experience with the computational analysis of complex genomic datasets.
- A strong record of scientific publications.
- At least 4 years of postdoctoral research experience.
