Research Assistant III

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent or multi-faceted research projects within the Center for Biometric Analysis.
• Propose alternative research methods, techniques, and initiatives based on scientific knowledge.
• Design, modify, and troubleshoot highly specialized laboratory equipment.
• Analyze and resolve variations in complex tests, experiments, and procedures.
• Manage laboratory resources, including budget, supplies, equipment, and personnel.
• Perform statistical analysis, interpret results, and compile data for peer and PI review.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication and develop technical documents, databases, and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead lab safety practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant research experience.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Experience in manuscript preparation for scientific publication.
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related scientific field.
• 6 or more years of relevant research experience.
• Advanced mouse handling, husbandry skills, and bio-methods expertise.
