Research Assistant II

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory experiments as instructed by the Principal Investigator (PI)
• Assist with experimental procedures involving tissue or cell cultures
• Prepare reagents and solutions and make direct experimental measurements
• Gather, organize, and record research data accurately
• Perform simple analysis of experimental results
• Incorporate new protocols and methodologies into lab work as directed
• Assist with library or electronic research tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related physical/biological science
• 1-2 years of previous job-related laboratory experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to handle animals and work in a laboratory environment involving animal contact
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, standing, and repetitive motions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant scientific field
• 3-5 years of previous job-related research experience
