About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain cell cultures of musculoskeletal cells
- Determine changes in cell function using assay kits and analyze the role of ion channels in these changes
- Analyze and graph experimental data
- Create and maintain lists of materials required for the laboratory
Requirements
- Must be a current UM-Flint Undergraduate Student
- Must have a recommendation from a Biology Faculty member
- Demonstrated expertise in cell culture
- Knowledge of microscopic imaging techniques
- Successful completion of BSL2 safety training
- Familiarity with cell biology
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in Biology and/or Chemistry laboratories
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of organizational skills
