About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform digital analysis of confocal microscopy imaging data, including acquisition, processing, and quantification.
  • Prepare figures from large datasets using various software packages as directed by the PI.
  • Conduct molecular and cellular biology bench research, such as 2D/3D cell culture, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and gel electrophoresis.
  • Assist with murine research, including breeding, sacrifice, dissection, and surgery.
  • Manage laboratory logistics, including maintaining accurate data logs and supervising reagent ordering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong quantitative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and maintain a reliable work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of laboratory research experience.
  • Familiarity with scientific software such as GraphPad Prism, R-Studio, or Image-J.
  • Previous experience with standard or confocal microscopy.
