About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform digital analysis of confocal microscopy imaging data, including acquisition, processing, and quantification.
- Prepare figures from large datasets using various software packages as directed by the PI.
- Conduct molecular and cellular biology bench research, such as 2D/3D cell culture, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and gel electrophoresis.
- Assist with murine research, including breeding, sacrifice, dissection, and surgery.
- Manage laboratory logistics, including maintaining accurate data logs and supervising reagent ordering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong quantitative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and maintain a reliable work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of laboratory research experience.
- Familiarity with scientific software such as GraphPad Prism, R-Studio, or Image-J.
- Previous experience with standard or confocal microscopy.
