Research Assistant I

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory experiments as instructed by the Principal Investigator (PI)
• Assist with experimental procedures involving tissue or cell cultures
• Prepare reagents and solutions and make direct experimental measurements
• Gather, organize, and record research data
• Perform simple analysis of experimental results
• Assist with library or electronic research tasks
• Incorporate new protocols and methodologies into lab work as directed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, standing, and repetitive motions
• Ability to work in an environment involving direct animal contact

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology
• 1-2 years of previous job-related laboratory experience
