Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Participate in high-throughput genotyping projects and various laboratory research activities.
• Implement new protocols to improve genomic diagnostic techniques available in the laboratory.
• Contribute to team research publications and assist in ongoing clinical genomics projects.
• Collaborate daily within a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, bioinformaticians, and molecular geneticists.
• Interact with experts in medicine, pharmacy, and genetics to evaluate project designs and results.

Requirements

• Degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related life science field.
• Strong knowledge of human genetics.
• Hands-on experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, sequencing, Western blots).
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with primary cell cultures or iPSC cultures.
• Knowledge of NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) and various genotyping techniques.
• A PhD degree.
