About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and culture multiple human cell lines, including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), under aseptic conditions
- Develop and execute iPSC differentiation protocols for vascular and disease modeling applications
- Perform analytical assays including ELISA, immunofluorescence staining, and confocal/fluorescence microscopy
- Quantify and analyze imaging data using ImageJ and other software, applying Python or MATLAB for data processing
- Assist in the design and fabrication of tissue engineering experiments and 3D cell-laden constructs
- Perform primary cell isolation, cell banking, and cryopreservation workflows
- Provide technical support and cross-functional collaboration with graduate students and postdocs
- Assist with training junior laboratory members and managing laboratory inventory
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
- Minimum of two years of experience in a research environment
- Proficiency in human cell and tissue culture
- Experience with basic laboratory procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Bioengineering or a related field with at least 2 years of biomedical laboratory experience
- M.S. degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong background in cell culture and a deep interest in research
