About the role
Responsibilities
- Collect, develop, analyze, and communicate energy policy and development data to internal and external constituents.
- Model techno-economic strategies for energy systems.
- Develop seminars, workshops, and educational materials related to research and public policy analysis.
- Assist the Center’s director with grant award maintenance and budget-related duties.
- Supervise assigned student personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, physical science, environmental science, business administration, public administration, urban studies, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in data analysis.
- Experience with relational databases, statistical research, data retrieval, and querying.
- Proficiency in GIS, Python, and Numpy.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain driver eligibility under university policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Ph.D., J.D., or Master's) in Math, Physics, Engineering, Law, Environmental Science, Economics, Planning, or Public Administration.
- Previous data analysis experience in a university setting.
- Experience with PeopleSoft, grant administration, accounting software, and public finance analysis.
- Working knowledge of economic development research methods, theories, and analyses.
